Imagine starting your week already knowing exactly what needs to get done, who you need to connect with, and where your focus should be. That’s what one hour of intentional planning can do for you.
Here’s how to structure your weekly planning session:
Set Your Priority Tasks – Write down your 3–5 non-negotiables for the week. These are the things that must get done, no matter what else pops up.
Map Out Your To-Do List – Capture all the other tasks floating in your head and assign them to specific days. Getting them on paper frees up mental space.
Add Reminders – Note important deadlines, meetings, or personal commitments so nothing sneaks up on you.
Plan Client Check-Ins & Follow-Ups – Decide which clients, leads, or partners you need to touch base with this week. A little proactive communication goes a long way.
Outline Your Content Plan – Jot down what you’ll post or send this week—then use the 5-minute method below to make it easy.
Handle Financial Tasks – List invoices to send, bills to pay, or income to track. Keeping money in order is just as important as client work.
Pro Tip: Schedule this hour like a recurring meeting in your calendar. Treat it as non-negotiable CEO time to set yourself up for a calmer, more productive week.Click here to download our FREE weekly planning template
The 5-Minute Social Media Plan
Let’s be honest—social media can feel like a time-suck. But it doesn’t have to. You don’t need to spend hours brainstorming or creating content every day. With this 5-minute framework, you’ll always have something to post, and your audience will see you showing up consistently.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Pick 3 Content Buckets Rotate between these categories to keep things fresh without overthinking:
Educate – Share a quick tip, resource, or lesson you’ve learned.
Engage – Ask your audience a question, run a poll, or invite them to share their opinion.
Showcase – Highlight a client success story, your services, or a behind-the-scenes peek.
Step 2: Jot Down One Idea for Each Keep it simple! Example:
Educate → “3 signs it’s time to outsource.”
Engage → “What’s your #1 Monday fuel: coffee or tea?”
Showcase → “Client testimonial about project X.”
Step 3: Schedule It Use Meta Business Suite, Canva, or Buffer to load your posts in one sitting. Done in 5 minutes, and you’re free to focus on actually running your business.
Pro Tip: Keep a running list of post ideas in your phone or planner. Inspiration always hits at random times—capture it so you’re never stuck staring at a blank screen.
Together, these two systems give you a full weekly reset: one hour to map out your business priorities and five minutes to make sure your marketing shows up even when you’re busy.
